Praise for Porto Bello, 979 Main Street, Wakefield, MA
I was amazed at the
atmosphere at the Porto Bello Restaurant, under new management.
The food and portions were outstanding, price wise very
affordable. The restaurant is nicely decorate and brings out two
cultures Italian and Portuguese. This is definitely a restaurant
worth while checking out. The Proprietor has done an outstanding
job upscaling this restaurant, it's a place just waiting to be
discovered by many others. I would definitely recommend it to
anyone looking for some great food and music.

Praise for Porto Bello Main Street, Wakefield
I wanted to drop you a quick
line to let you know about this fantastic restaurant Porto Bellos.
They used to be called Borticellis. From the time I walked in
until the time I left, everyone was very nice, and the food was
incredible. I am not an expert, but if there is one thing that I
learned over the years, is that when I go out to spend money, I
like to be treated good. This restaurant is a must eat! Keep up
the great site and great radio show.

Praise for Portobello's Main Street, Wakefield
Recently, I have begun to frequent a quaint little restaurant in
Wakefield, Ma. Portobello's (formerly Botticelli's)is located in
the Greenwood section of Wakefield in a strip mall. It has a
lovely old world ambience and a terrifically diverse menu. Though
primarily Italian, there is a subtle Mediterranean flare to the
dishes. Portuguese fare is also being introduced via the evening
specials. Portions are more than adequate and can often be plenty
for two people to share. Appetizers are also of substantial
portions. Pasta dishes are always cooked Al Dente which is a
pleasant surprise. The house vinaigrette dressing is delightful
and light. Waitstaff are pleasant and efficient, and the owner is
often seen stopping by tables to chat with the guests. This
restaurant gets a rating of 10 in my book, and is a must for those
with a taste for Italian food. Bruschetta and littlenecks are
great appetizers, and the porterhouse steak, veal marsala and
pasta specials are always delicious. Espresso, cappuccino, and a
nice selection of after dinner wines compliment the dessert menu.
